Dr Cecile Chu completed her medical training at University of New South Wales and started her medical career at Bankstown Hospital Network. Subsequently she has been selected into the Royal Australian College of GP's training program to be the Specialist GP and completed her GP training in Western Sydney. From 2016 to 2018, she has been a Lecturer and Subject Coordinator at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) for the course of "Clinical features of disease" to third year university students.
Dr Cecile enjoys the diversity of assessing and managing medical conditions in all age groups in general practice. She performs cervical screening tests (formerly known as Pap Smears), contraceptive hormonal implant insertions and removals, intrauterine contraceptive device removal, skin biopsy and excisions, aspirations and steroid injections for musculoskeletal conditions.
Due to her excellent contribution to her medical peers through her great work in the Australian Chinese Medical Association (ACMA), Dr Cecile was awarded the Foundation Fellow Award by the ACMA in 2018.
Dr Cecile speaks functional Cantonese in additional to English.
